Summary:
Our client is seeking a self-motivated automation engineer with a strong electrical engineering background specializing in process control/automation design and development, combined with hands on experience. The ideal candidate must have experience in engineering development, team support, technical management, project coordinator and full cycle project management as well as strong troubleshooting skills. The successful candidate shall possess the desire to complete all work necessary to keep the production and packing lines running efficiently daily.
The ideal candidate will possess these essential skills:
- A comprehensive technical background with hands on experience troubleshooting and configuring electronic control systems specific to Allen Bradley PLC’s, HMI’s Variable Frequency Drives, and related communication interfaces in an industrial food processing environment.
- Experience troubleshooting automated machine systems, components, and electrical devices using test equipment
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, PLC ladder logic
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards/codes
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Engineering skills in the manufacturing environment plus 5 or more years of directly related experience.
