Summary: Responsible for internal controls, tax compliance, risk management, and financial planning and analysis, and accounting operations including invoice to cash, purchase to pay, record to report, and manufacturing accounting.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for financial reporting to local management and corporate finance and consolidation team. Provides management with comprehensive month end, quarter end, year end reporting package with insightful commentary on company’s financial status and progress in its various programs and activities.
  • Key role in budget and forecasting process. Works closely with the Director of Finance and Management to develop detailed budgets, forecasts, and capital plans; including the development of product and project costing, and risk management.
  • Responsible for invoice to cash including accounts receivable, collection, cash application and invoicing. Adopts innovative ways to improve invoice to cash process towards cost and process efficiencies. Responsible for managing service providers.
  • Responsible for purchase to pay including accounts payable, disbursements, travel and expense and corporate card program. Key role in vendor evaluation and reviews. Drives initiatives towards cost efficiencies and savings.
  • Responsible for controlling of fixed assets including rental assets, consistent with commercial lease contracts with customers. Ensures compliance with use tax and property tax requirements.
  • Establish proper controls and monitoring of inventory and intercompany transactions. Collaborate with Supply Chain in achieving optimal inventory levels. Supports evaluation of supply chain strategies and vendor evaluation.
  • Responsible for financial controlling of manufacturing operations including review of standard costs, transfer price, and intercompany agreements.
  • Responsible for definition and establishment of accounting policies, in alignment with corporate accounting policies, USGAAP and IFRS guidelines. Key role in collaborating with corporate accounting in IFRS transition initiative. Keeps abreast of accounting pronouncements and FASB changes
  • Responsible for proper accounting rules are set up in ERP system consistent with accounting principles and practices, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, and industrial accounting for manufacturing entity.
  • Responsible for effective internal controls (manual and systems), policies and procedures to enhance overall control environment and risk management. Key role in collaborating with IT department in ensuring adequate systems controls.
  • Responsible for treasury activities including cash flow forecasting and internal controls over cash management.
  • Responsible for compliance with sales and use tax, transfer price and other tax related matters.
  • Responsible for compliance with permits and licenses. Collaborate with corporate legal department on corporate annual reporting.
  • Manages preparation for financial and tax audits, and responsible for interfacing with auditors and tax authorities.
  • Interfaces with insurance brokers and corporate insurance department to ensure proper commercial insurance coverage and risk management.
  • Access to compensation information is necessary in order to perform the appropriate finance function or other routinely assigned business tasks. The functions of this position include protecting and maintaining the privacy of employee personal information, including compensation.
  • Leads cross functional team projects.
  • Responsible for adherence to quality management system and maintaining up to date work instructions and training materials for area of responsibility.
  • Participate in acquisition due diligence and integration activities

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • Directly supervises employees in their area of responsibility.
  • Carries out managerial/supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing candidates; hiring, promotion and transfer of employees in conjunction with the appropriate level of management and Human Resources; training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; terminating employees in conjunction with department director and Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving issues.

Education: Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from four-year college or university required; 10 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, including supervisory experience, and in manufacturing context; Advanced degree preferred; CPA and audit experience preferred.
  • Occasional travel may be required.


  • Technology savvy, high level of proficiency in ERP system (M3) and use of reporting tools (Business Object, MS) analyzing large amount of data. High level of proficiency in Excel, Powerpoint , Word , Access database other office tools
  • Highly motivated and performance driven, to work accurately and dependably in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and US Tax – including FAS 13, lease accounting and revenue recognition principles,
  • Experience with implementation and management of cost accounting in manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret commercial contracts.
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, presentation) with the ability to influence and drive business performance
  • Ability to effectively present information to a group audience and facilitate discussions
