Client based in New York focusing on operating upscale casual Restaurant concepts.

The ideal Accountant will be proactive, hands-on, who in partnership with the Senior Accountant and Controller will have responsibility for all aspects of the Finance and Accounting function.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Handles full cycle of accounting under the supervision/direction of the Senior Accountant and Group Corporate Controller
  • Responsible for month-end close process; accruals, prepaid, inventory and other required balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare budget vs actual variance analysis for senior management
  • In charge of A/P processing for approvals and payment
  • Review and record all incoming and outgoing cash transactions on a daily basis
  • Reconcile all operating bank accounts daily and payroll and tax accounts on a monthly basis
  • Prepare certain filings; sales taxes, worker’s compensation and 1099s where required
  • Assist in the timely preparation, processing and recording of payroll
  • Assist in the completion of monthly and YTD consolidated financial statements
  • Assist in the completion of the interim and year-end audits
  • All other Accounting projects/tasks as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Minimum 3 years’ accounting experience
  • Advanced Microsoft excel skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Food and Beverage Industry a plus
  • Experience with Oracle NetSuite, Marketman, Lightspeed and Bev Spot a plus
